The turmoil of time has endowed Timiş with a multicultural character that
made its fame far beyond Romanian borders. Yesterday's conquests have
become today's ethnical communities that nowadays live in harmony.
This is because every Timiş county inhabitant sees the Germans,

Hungarians, Serbs, Bulgarians, Italians or Greeks as fellow Banat citizens.
We are all part of the same LANDMARK we call „home”.

It's a home that nourishes our people through over twelve cultural
institutions with three independent theaters. All of them use the minorities'
three major languages, while the activity of seventeen general and
honorary consulates is consolidating our connections with partner states.

Green is the color that feeds our sight when we are in Timişoara, walking
along the bank of Bega river and around its leafy treetops oasis. As we step
out of our numerous parks' shadows, we realize that the city is nowadays
spoiled during every weekend with a rainbow of traditional music, arts and
culture. It's a bouquet of colors that vibrate as the capital of Banat
prepares itself for a new history page, a page that shall be written in the
European context of Capitals of Culture in 2023.
