Timiș,Temes,Tamiș,Temesch or Tibiscus?
The answer lies in a single word and it speaks about the
same place: our multicultural space.

- When you are LANDMARKing Timiş through the perspective of the
question „Did you know that...?”, what is the first thing that comes into your
mind?
- Here is a very complicated word, but my mother has explained it to me
and I believe I understood its meaning. It goes like this: MULTICULTURALITY.
- And what do you think it means?
- A rainbow of people smiling together, each of them in its own language.
To me, they are just like the umbrellas on Alba-Iulia street during spring
time, says Àgi, born 7 years ago somewhere on the banks of Balaton Lake,
where she spends every holiday at her grandparents' home. Her mother
came to visit the City of Roses on Bega river right after the Revolution
ended and she has fallen in love with the open hearts of the people, the
streets paved with a real ethnicities' rainbow and with Àgi's father. She
does not contradict him, but smiles along whenever she hears him saying
proudly and stoutly, like all his ancestors, that „Banatu-i fruncea”
(meaning: Banat is the leading “forehead” of Romania).
Through their eyes, one can definitely see most clearly the spirit of the
whole county.
