The LANDMARK „mens sana in corpore sano” is alive in Timiş.

Besides the phrase itself, up to present days we have also inherited the
need and the pleasure to walk and live together with nature from our Latin
ancestors, as well as the passion for running, rowing or scrutinizing heights.

- Where are we going for our 1st of May city-break?
- I've heard that there is a county in Western Romania worth visiting. I think
it's called Timş.
- Isn't it located somewhere on the old Pannonia Plain, as we've learned in
geography classes?
- Indeed, it's the city that will hold the title of European Capital of Culture
two years from now, Timişoara.
- All right, and what can we do there, without biking and climbing? Won't
we get bored? It's just plain…
- No way! They even have a bicycle track that goes all the way to Serbia,
besides the urban cycling and running contests, while in Banat Mountains
we can take traditional rides on horse-drawn carriages. They also have
arboretums, a hot springs spa and thermal baths called Buziaş, but also hills
with many vineyards, awaiting us to taste their wines.
