wooden stole and through the woven blue of the Romanian blouse
And this is how the first human settlement started to take shape, out of the
fruition of the evergreen shelter providing fens, a settlement that later
went on to become the Timiş Citadel.
The people in Banat build their houses by themselves, using whatever they
have near at hand. On its freshly decorated white lame walls, the heart of
the village tells us a story about how a reed and straw roof evolved into a
massive wood body or into simple bricks of the Habsburg style.
As we leave geography aside, A LANDMARK is a place where you feel at
home and where you find God. The wooden church's high tower in the
center of the rural villages in Timiş county is the best proof, because here
people never forget to have a small encounter with heaven.
